People practice is actions which are being taken by businesses in order to find the right cultural value, environment for working, organizational complexity, etc. Businesses need to have a good management to be present in order to be able to find the right working and performance for themselves in the market. The following presentation would be discussing the theories of team working, harmony working employee’s life cycle and practices of people so that the business would be able to operate effectively.
AC 2.1 PRINCIPLES OF DIFFERENT APPROACHES, THEORIES AND MODELS OF ORGANISATIONAL
Human behaviour needs to be matched by the business in order to be able to have the right working and make sure that they are having the right base which is very important. Following report would be discussing two theories in detail.
Tuckman Theory of teamwork
It was Bruce Tuckman who first proposed the collaboration idea to determine the optimal working and performance of an organisation. Booking.com and Zappos can apply this process, which includes forming, norming, storming, and performing, to determine the ideal working conditions. Interrelationships between task members are developed during the formation stage so that there is no dependency and no compulsion to work during this phase. Unavoidable arguments and divergent opinions will occur from storming, which must be settled by the team as a whole. The Norming stage is for unity since all members work independently and it is critical for them to reduce conflicts and make judgments that are in line with the objectives. Performing stage is when they work on the issues and complete the tasks on time so that they can have the right working.
Maslow’s theory of motivation
Employee motivation must be high, as evidenced by this paradigm, which includes five stages: physiological, safety, love, esteem, and self-actualization. Water, food, and breathing are examples of physiological necessities, while health, morality, and other factors are examples of safety. Love encompasses family, friendship, and esteem encompasses confidence, achievement, and other people's respect, among other things, while self actualization encompasses creativity, prejudice-free thinking, and problem-solving, among other things.
Individuals must possess these characteristics in order for the business to benefit the most from this component, which will be profitable in the long term.

Two Drivers for change
The drives of change in Booking.com and Zappos are covid-19 and people spending differently which has to be monitored and make the company have different planning as well. The company did not have a strong base in the past well now they do which is going to make the future of the business be better as well.

- Lewin’s change management model
The company has to make sure that they are using this method to get in change which is unfreezing, change and refreeze. Unfreeze is introducing the change then comes change which is getting changes slowly in the company and then refreezing when the changes which have taken place in the company.
Create urgency, form a powerful coalition, create a vision for change, communicate the vision, remove obstacles, create short term wins, build on the change and anchor the changes in corporate culture are the 8 stages which are included in this model.
2 Models of how people experience change
Employees of Zappos would not take the changes of getting online easily therefore coping cycle needs to be included in order to find lesser conflicts and better results. Kubler Ross is another people experience change model which can be used by Booking.com in order to find better adaptation of changes.
AC 2.3 STEPS THAT CAN BE TAKEN TO INCREASE DIVERSITY
Diversity and inclusion is very important as per a business field in order to have the right working and positive environment to be maintained. There is good openness and a lot of learning which is present in this way of working which is beneficial for the long run. Diversity is about human life and many different kinds of people which are going to be better working. According to equality act 2006 there are a lot of human right commissions which are present and the business needs to follow in order to be able to find the right working and performance which is going to be present.
There are a lot of ways which can be used by Booking.com and Zappos to improve the diversity of the company which is through fair recruitment, engagement of employees and involving them in the decision making of the company. Business has to make sure that they are taking the right actions to be able to make sure that they are having better working.
If diversity is not followed within an organization then there are a lot of impacts in the cultural aspect which would be present. The brand value is going to fall rapidly and also make morale be lower and poor reviews would also be gained by the organization which is not going to be a great factor for the company to have.
AC 2.4 POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE WAYS IN WHICH PEOPLE PRACTICES CAN AFFECT ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE AND BEHAVIOURS
People are given positivity through the medium of physical and mental rewards which is going to be present. Business must make sure that they are giving in the right reward which is expected in order to find the right working.
Development of the people does not take place with having training and changes are not welcomed by all the employees. Performance of the company is going to lack when there is going to be more changes and short cuts will be taken by employees to get rewarded.
Work life balance has to be present in the contracts which the company is providing to the customers. Trust and loyalty can be gained by the customers in order to find out more productivity.
Retention level has to be maintained otherwise there is going to be low engagement which is going to be there. Benefits has to be there for businesses in order to make sure that there is good working which is present.
AC 2.5 IMPORTANCE OF WELLBEING IN THE WORKPLACE
Satisfaction of the employees, motivation, commitment, behaviour, etc has to be according to the company in order to be able to have the right working and functioning which is going to be there. Business has to think of their working in order to be able to match the demands and needs of the customers so that they can have better functioning.
The company needs to have high targets for themselves and level of reward and trust has to be gained by the workforce in the company so that they would be able to have better production. Companies have to make sure that the manager support is present for the employees so that they would be able to reach out whenever they need help or guidance. This is good for the communication in the company as well which is going to be a great factor for the overall working.
AC 3.1 SUPPORTS THE CONCEPT AND PRINCIPLES OF EMPLOYEE LIFECYCLE
There are 6 stages which are present in employee life cycle which are recruitment, on boarding, development, retention, separation and attraction. Attraction is towards a company then comes recruitment which has to be fair and talented employee must be taken as well. On boarding is when the employee is hired by the company and then comes development which the company does to the employee. Development is according to the standards of the company so that they can have a better working. Retention is to keep the trained employee in the company for the long run and then separation when the employee is kept in the company in order to be able to have better working. Businesses in the market have to make sure that they are evaluating and understanding this life cycle of the employees in order to be able to make the right decisions of working and gain competitive edge for the long run as well.
AC 3.2 SUPPORT BETWEEN PEOPLE PRACTICE AND OTHER ORGANISATIONAL FUNCTIONS
Booking.com and Zappos are getting in new products and services and for that they need to focus on the recruitment of the company in order to be able to have the right experienced workforce. Business has to make sure that they are having a good planning for them and suitable policies are implemented in the company as well so that they can gain the advantage in the market which they must. People practice has to be worked upon so that they can have the right value in the market which is going to be a great factor for the overall operations.

Line manager support via training and coaching is going to make the employees be able to have the right understanding and operations. Legal advice during disciplinaries has to be present in the company as well to that they can gain the right attention of the customers when they are training then the employees would be getting involved effectively.
AC 3.4 PRINCIPLES OF DIFFERENT APPROACHES FOR ENGAGING WITH INTERNAL CUSTOMERS
- Map your customer’s journey
Booking.com and Zappos has to understand their map your customer’s journey so that they would be able to have a better working. Customer needs are different from one another to make sure that there is better understanding of them. Quality has to be good of the products and services so that they would be able to have the right support and make sure that the delivery is also present. Employee performance has to be existing as well in the company so that they would be able to have the right building base in market for the long run.
- Be consistent in customer communication
There are a lot of changes which are present for which there has to be good communication in the business as well so that there is going to be good working. Businesses have to make the right decisions as well in order to be able to have the right working. Satisfaction level of the customers is going to be maintained as well in order to have sustainability for the long run and this is going to make the profitability of the company be maintained. There is feedback and reviews which can be worked upon by the company which would help in making sure that the company is having a good improvement for the long run
From the above presentation it can be concluded that the diversity and people practices within an organization needs to be maintained so that they can have the right working and performance.
