Moreover, the consumption of alcohol for a prolonged period can cause severe harm to many body parts such as the liver, brain, and many more which ultimately results in cancer (Finelli et al. 2021). The article of Emslie et al. (2012) has been explored in this essay through different types of discussions. The discussions taking place in this essay include a brief summary of the article, which will include the aims that were set by the authors along with the methodological approach used by them and also the results found them. Moreover, the discussion on the issues with the course of life that comes up from the article as well as the case study will be pointed out in order to find out any influence on the alcohol usage by Cath. lastly, the essay will conclude with the discussions and suggestions for improving the condition of Cath through various interventions. Various studies have been performed for finding out the level of alcohol consumption according to different age groups of adults. Among different age groups of adults the consumption of alcohol was found to be highest among the group of adults belonging to the age group of 45years to that of 64 years (Ons.gov.uk, 2021). In addition, the "Harm Reduction Strategy" paid more attention to drinking in the age group of 35 to 50 years. There are various health issues along with chronic health diseases occur due to the regular consumption of alcohol for a prolonged period (Hobson and Jutel, 2020). These include increased blood pressure, issues with digestion, heart diseases, as well as liver diseases affecting the health of the people consuming alcohol. Among the other health issues that are common and were noticed among daily consumers of alcohol include headaches, dehydration at a severe level, vomiting, nausea, and also indigestion issues. Moreover, the consumption of alcohol for a prolonged period often leads to severe conditions such as cancer as well as heart diseases occurring to the consumers (Hil et al. 2021).

The pieces of information used in the article have been gathered from secondary sources of information containing information about the consumption of alcohol among the adult people belonging to the age group of 35-50 years. Among the people belonging to the age group of 35-50 years in the UK, approximately 30% of the people were found to be consuming alcohol more than once a week (Statista.com, 2021). Among these people, approximately 17.4% were found to be men and 9.6% were found to be women. Moreover, the amount of death was found to be highest among the people belonging to the age group of 45-54 years of age. Approximately 53.7 thousand men along with 26.5 thousand women have found to admit to the hospitals due to the impacts of alcohol consumption (Statista.com, 2021). The excessive consumption of alcohol among these people, besides affecting their health they are also affecting their careers and productivity. Due to the health issues occurring to the people consuming alcohol the productivity and efficiency of working of these people are reduced, therefore, the excessive consumption of alcohol is also impacting the productivity of the country (Patsis et al. 2020). Moreover, due to the costs incurred for the treatment of the patients with alcohol NHS is also having to spend a lot of money.

In the article, the Qualitative Research Method was selected and it focused on the younger adults rather than the older adults. In addition, it explores a relationship among older people with alcohol. Around eight different focus groups were selected with 36 men and women who are aged among 35 to 50 years in the Scotland. Different types of ethical approval may be required to conduct the data collection method. The selected study about the given topic is granted by "Glasgow University", "Law Faculties" and "Business and Social Sciences Ethics Committee" in the United Kingdom. These included methods such as handing out flyers for participation in the research, sending invitations to take part in the research, and many more.

There are eight focus groups being made among which there are a total of 36 respondents included containing 15 men and 21 women among them. The participants were asked to complete a short grid of drinking and then the pieces of information regarding their drinking behaviour in the last two weeks have been enquired from them. The responses provided by the participants were considered as the replies to the survey procedure conveyed for gathering pieces of information. The respondents who took part in the survey belonged to the region of West Scotland. The study can also be considered to be a sample study for identifying the socio-economic diversities among different regions and people. The Corsairs score approach was also employed by the research team, which is used for the purpose of measuring the depreciation in the behaviour of people living in a society within a certain area (dos et al. 2018). Moreover, different considerations that were also made such as different households, lower socio-economic classes, unemployment, and many more as the causes oriented to the drinking behaviour of the participants made the process lengthier. These were selected for the purpose of classification of the participants from which six people were living within an affluent area while the rest belonged to the areas of intermediate in nature.

From the discussion segment, all the selected respondents cumulatively recounted their current drunken escapades, and different types of challenges are accounted for in moderate drinking. In addition, in this article, it is clearly mentioned that peer pressure is a major factor in drinking alcohol excessively (Davies, Law and Hennelly, 2018). Some of the respondents are describing how they are increasing their alcohol consumption at the midlife stage. But they are working hard in terms of emphasizing age as well as stage. Additionally, they are responding that they are mitigating all their requirements as a partner, worker or a parent. Women are also controlling their alcohol drinking level while describing that they are intentionally drinking alcohol to decrease their working stress. Selecting to drink alcohol is not a healthy lifestyle which requires an explanation in an early midlife. A Harm Decrease Strategy may pay attention to drinking in the selected age group.

Firstly, all the selected respondents are present in the qualitative study about drinking excessive amounts in the early midlife age. In addition, it is suggesting that all of them are drinking alcohol in moderation and instead of problematic youthful drinking. From the entire article, it can be said that men are drinking more alcohol than women in the United Kingdom. Moreover, it is based on drunk more alcohol by younger than older adults.

With the help of the medication and the daily exercise service users give time to their family and it helps to build a healthy relationship between the service user and his children.

With the help of health experts service users are needed to take medicine.  In many times meditation helps to give a stable mind state which helps to lead a good life’s and avoid alcohol. As per the words of Naughton et al. (2021), in many cases medicine is required to quit the alcohol. In the present case service users take medicine then she heals quickly. Nurse suggests the service user take time to think about the situation and make a decision. Moreover, as a recommendation, it can be suggested to follow non authoritative manager like a form of strength-based communication approach which is truly reliable to mitigate excessive alcohol intake by Cath. Moreover, as a nurse, it is also good to use interpersonal communication approach to interview Cath about his health complication regarding excessive alcohol consumption on a regular basis.
