Time management techniques

Time management is a type of process that helps to organise as well as plan for the separation of time for various types of work in one’s life. It is too important in every student’s life to manage the time to complete all types of functions of his daily life. Arden University also teaches its students the process of managing time properly (Oreopoulos et al. 2022). This type of process helps the students to complete their work in a smart way without wasting excess time. Through this process, one can easily do a proper amount of work in time and the quality of the work also remains better.

Managing time is so important when one does important work and the time to complete that work remains less and the level of pressure remains high. A student easily can achieve his target work in time with the process of time management (Hartung et al. 2020). There remain various types of strategies for time management to complete the functions of daily life. The methods of time management help to create an efficient life for a student.

Pomodoro Method:

The Pomodoro method is a type of method of time management that was created in the year 1980 by an entrepreneur named Francesco Cirillo. He developed this type of time management method at the time of his student life. He faced various types of problems at the time of managing time for his assignments at the university (Cirillo, 2018). He could not able to focus on his study to managing time. At that time he made this type of technique to manage the time of his study. A student of Arden University can able to take intervals between his work times. These types of intervals are described as the Pomodoro (tomato-shaped timer).

There have some processes for managing time through this type of method. At first, the student needs to choose the work that is needed to do (Ismail et al. 2022). After that, he needs to set a proper time and needs to focus on the task with attention till a certain time that is fixed. After the set time ends he needs to take a short time break and put a checkmark on the paper. After taking four Pomodoros he needs to take a longer break.

The student can easily focus on his work and he can complete his job on time. The quality of the job of the student also remains better (Costales et al. 2021). Various types of chances of advancement are increased by following this process. This method does not always remain successful because of various types of disturbances at the time of studying with this method.

Eisenhower Matrix:

The Eisenhower Matrix is a type of method of managing time that helps to improve the rate of production and learns the process of prioritising. Students of Arden University are easily able to choose a table of works depending on the importance and requirement. Four tables are needed to complete this method properly at the time of doing a function.

The works are divided depending on the urgency as well as the importance of the works. The first remains on the table of urgent as well as important, the second table includes important but less urgent, the third table includes urgent but less important and finally, the fourth table includes less important as well as less urgent (Alqahtani and Rajkhan, 2020). This method helps to denote the tasks that are important as well as urgent and do this job in a proper way. There also can raise various problems at the time of denoting important and urgent work.

Pareto Analysis:

Pareto Analysis is one of the most important methods for managing time. The students use this type of time management method to regulate the quality of their jobs. There remains a rule in this method that is described as the 80-20 rule. It means that the outcome of a job remains at 80% through doing 20% of the function (Krishna et al. 2022). The problems that are raised at the time of doing a job are easily denoted through this method and complete that job by solving the problems on time.

The four areas of ther academic skills are the management of time, taking notes along with a bibliography and referencing. This also includes academic writing and preparation for exams. The management of time for an individual is highly essential as this allows an individual to perform the task within a particular period; this may be for universities like Arden university or the purpose of employment (Gruzdev et al. 2018). Another approach for academic skill evaluation is taking notes which are highly useful for an individual as this helps ones to memorise the task and the topic in an efficient manner. Universities and other educational organisations around the world have some important practices that had to maintain by the teachers, students and other members of them. These practices of any academy are generally described as Academic integrity. Those practices include honesty, responsibility, fairness, respect and many more (Muhammad et al. 2020). Arden University also has these types of academic integrities that need to maintain by the teachers and every student. The students who want to take admitted to the university or who are already admitted to the university need to learn about the academic integrity of the university (Gottardello and Karabag, 2022). It helps to know the rules and regulations of the university that had to follow surely. The quality of the process of learning at the university improves and the students become very disciplined and fair. There are some types of note taking methods that need to follow to note academic integrity.

At first, the student needs to pay attention at the time of taking notes on academic integrity. The notes that are effective need to note through the use of a proper strategy. The notes can be taken in two ways, digitally or on paper (Stoesz and Eaton, 2022). There also needs to be managing time at the time of taking notes and for this reason, the student needs to summarise the note.

Process of avoiding plagiarism at university

Plagiarism can be described as a very serious legal as well as ethical issue that can damage the reputation of the university. Every student has to remain alert for plagiarism at the time of joining the university (Awasthi, 2019). The students of Arden University also have to remain alert for plagiarism. Students who want to avoid plagiarism need to develop the process of note taking. Students need to keep track of the proper sources of the notes (Robles et al. 2020). There also needs proper citations to the taken notes and also needs to use quotes for proper words or concepts.

The students of universities are needs to know various types of academic skills to become perfect students. Arden University is one of the most famous and reputed universities in the country UK. The students of this university also need to maintain some academic skills. Time management is one of the factors that help the student to regulate their study as well as other functions in daily life. Time can be managed properly through the use of some time management methods. A table of time depending on the functions is made to complete all works on time.
