3.3 Research Approach

Inductive and deductive are the two types of approaches which the researcher can use to accomplish the study. 3.4 Research Philosophy

The data can be collected from two different sources and this includes primary and secondary data. The primary is the one which emphasizes gathering first-hand data. It is the data which is used in the study for the first time. On the other side, secondary data is the one which focuses on using the existing information in the way of using articles, journals, books and many other different types of existing data relating to the topic of the research (Saliya, 2023). To examine the importance and application of architectural innovation in the construction project, compliance with a combination of both is used. It is due to the reason that this combination provides for a wide range of data and assists in managing the work well. The primary data provides for fresh information and as a result, the scholar can relate these findings with the existing information which is gathered through secondary analysis. Hence, the combination is more beneficial because it will result in better outcomes as input data will be more and resultantly the output will be more effective.
3.6 Sample
The sample may be stated as a technique which may referred to as the selection of some of the samples from the whole population. The total population is very large and it is not feasible for scholars they collect the data from the whole population. Thus, for this, Lo, Rey-Martí and Botella-Carrubi, (2020) stated that some of the sample is selected and as a result, the data is collected from that sample only. In the current study, based on architectural innovation and its implementation in the construction industry the use of a total of 10 respondents is made. The sample is selected based on the random sampling method. This is a type of method which emphasises the opportunity for every respondent to be selected as the sample (Zawacki-Richter et al, 2020). A total of 10 samples are selected and from them, the data will be collected with the help of the interview technique. It is due to the reason that the interview methods include asking open-ended questions and as a result, the persons are free to answer their opinions relating to the question. It is better because, within the closed-ended questions, the respondent has to answer from this particular set of options only. But in the case of an interview, it is not the case rather the selecting a particular option, the respondent can answer on their own. Hence, the use of the random sampling method for the collection of the data helped manage the work well. the sample 10 is sufficient because after collecting the data from 10 people the data satuation has been attained. This simply means that the scholar has gained enough data for drawing the conclusion of the study and to attain the objectives of the study well. the data has reached to the level where the majority of the data is gathered and it will be easily analysed for attaining the objectives well.
3.7 Data Analysis
According to the views of Ahmed, (2022) after gathering the primary and secondary information an effective analysis must be made so that the overall objectives of the study can be accomplished. Thus, it is mandatory for the scholar to effectively assess the data so that objectives can be attained. For the analysis of the data, there are two methods available which include using SPSS and thematic analysis. The former includes using the software wherein the data is inserted and by applying different statistical functions like descriptive statistics, regression and other functions the data is evaluated. In contrast, this latter includes the use of framing themes according to the objectives and questions and then analysing the primary responses and attaining the aim of the study (Marx, 2023). For the completion of the current study, scholar makes the use of the thematic analysis for analysing the collected data. It is due to the reason that when clear themes are created then automatically the analysis will be done appropriately. Here the scholar creates a theme for every question asked and evaluates the primary response about it. Thereafter these primary findings are supported with the help of the different types of secondary sources and ultimately the objectives of the study are attained effectively.
3.8 Ethical Consideration
To make the study successful all the ethical aspects must be considered well such that the objectives can be accomplished well. Ethical consideration is the principles which need to be followed by the scholar while conducting the study. These principles ensure that the study is conducted in a morally good way and not any unethical practice is undertaken. The most common ethical aspect followed by the scholar includes the taking of informed consent. This written informed consent means that the participant is providing permission to use the information provided by them during the interview. Thus, as a result of this, the work ensures that the whole study is done effectively (Daniel, 2022). Along with this another ethical aspect to be followed during the present study was to maintain the confidentiality of the sources. It is due to the reason that when the appropriate confidentiality is maintained then it ensures that the information used within the study is not wrongly used or misused. Thus, the scholar must ensure that the proper confidentiality of the data sources is maintained so that the study can be accomplished properly and effectively.
3.9 Reliability and Validity
To make the study successful it is mandatory for the scholar they effectively try to undertake the study reliably and validly. It is due to the reason that when the study needs to be made successful then it is mandatory for the scholar that they must effectively try to do the work reliably and validly. For the maintenance of reliability, the scholar has undertaken the use of the sources which have the proper copyright and patents on the website. It is due to the reason that when the patented or copyright sources are used then it implies that the correct and authentic data is used by the researcher relating to the study (Limone et al, 2022). In case the study is not done using the latest data then it will be affecting the study and the outcomes to a great extent. Along with this, another aspect of the validity of the research is that the scholar implements the use of keyword searching. This keyword searching is used for finding accurate information and articles which are helpful for the researcher in managing and accomplishing the whole study effectively. With keyword searching the major focus is on gathering very accurate and clear information which is assistive in managing the work and trying to improve the working capability of the study effectively. Also, another aspect relating to reliability and validity to be considered during the study on analysing factors of architectural innovation is the taking of data which is latest. It is due to the reason that when the effective and latest data will not be used then it will be impacting the working to a great extent. Thus, when the latest secondary information is used then it will be easier to connect with the primary responses. In case too old information is used by the scholar then it might be possible that the findings do not fit in the current working patterns. Hence, it is the responsibility of the scholars that they effectively try to use the latest information, particularly after 2020.
3.10 Conclusion
In the end, it is concluded that deciding the proper research methods is very necessary to be implemented. In case the methods will not be decided on effectively then the overall work will be improved and the objectives of the study will be attained well. The above chapter concluded that the use of qualitative study is beneficial for scholars as it will help them in managing and attaining the objectives well. Thus, it is necessary for the scholar to effectively make use of the appropriate methods. Moreover, it was also analysed that the use of the combination of primary and secondary data was assistive in collecting a wide range of data so that the topic can be evaluated well and objectives can be attained. At last, it was also inferred that using the thematic analysis was assistive to the scholar in managing the work better.
Chapter Four: Analysis Of Findings
Overview
For the collection of the data, firstly the participant were decided and thereafter the interview questions were asked to them and every response was recorded. For this, the voice recording was used so that it can also be heard again while making the responses in written format. All the questions were asked to the 10 respondents one by one and the responses were recorded through voice recording and also the key points were recorded in written format as well. All the collected data was processed and the key points were written and then it was rechecked by listening to the voice recording and thereafter by using the thematic analysis, theme for every question was made. Within the analysis the response of the participant was evaluated and it was supported with other related secondary data as well.
Theme 1: Awareness regarding the architectural innovation.
With the help of interview transcript it is evaluated that among the project manager there is a great awareness regarding the concept of architectural innovation. Currently, all individual remain engage with the current trends as it is necessary and important for the construction company to effectively follow these trends to remain competitive within the industry. According to the Rauf, Shareef and Othman, (2021) architectural innovation happens when the new goods or services use the existing technologies to build a new market as well new customers. The architectural innovation furnish various advantages such as improving energy efficiency, decline environmental impact, boost functionality which is crucial for remain competitive in industry. Moreover, it is a latest trend correspondingly experts within construction company aware about it and also to become successful in the construction project as a result architectural innovation must implemented. Contrary to this, it is also evaluated that some of respondent not really aware about the architectural innovation concept. It is a big barrier in the effective completion of the construction project. With respect to this, respondent 2, 6 and 8 stated that they are not much aware of the concept of architectural innovation. For this they agreed that they are using the older methods of working and because of this they are not much aware of the concept of architectural innovation. Majorly these people tend to use the traditional methods for operating and because of this the latest concept of architectural innovation is not known to some of the participant.
Theme 2: Compliance with the architectural innovation aids in making the construction project successful in small cities.
By evaluating the views of the respondent, it is identified that major respondent agrees that following with the architectural innovation helps in making successful construction project within the small cities. The architectural innovation aids in improving the functionality, working, decline cost as well as aids in complete the project on set deadline as use of technologies makes the work easier and smoother. Thus, architectural innovation helps the construction companies of small cities of the England to make their construction project successful. In the opinion of Lo and Kam, (2021) , in the competitive world, it is essential to implement and complying with the architectural innovation as it aids in managing the work in effective manner as well as decline the cost as a result balance the cost and make the project successful. In addition, when the companies properly compliance with the architectural innovation than it mechanically enhance overall working of the organization correspondingly construction project become successful. In contrast to this, some respondent that is 2, 9 and 10 states that they are not sure that whether the AI assist in making the construction project successful. It is due to the reason that they are not aware of the concept and importance of architectural innovation as it affects the working of the company to a great extent. When the effective innovation will be implemented then it will be impacting the overall working of the company and will surely result in the better accomplishment of the objectives of the company.
Theme 3: Planning factor is improved by complying with the architectural innovation
From the analysis of the outcome of the interview, it is recognized that several factors improved when companies compliance with the architectural innovation such as planning, effective development of strategy, optimum utilization of resources as well as completion of project efficiently. In the context of interview, major respondent agrees that mainly planning factor enhance when construction business follows the architectural innovation. In the views of Elghaish, Abrishami and Hosseini, (2020), construction organization must adhere with the architectural innovation as it leads to enhance the overall project planning, implementation and delivery. The adoption of latest technologies, methodologies aids the construction firms to enhance its overall business efficiency. The utilization of innovative technologies aids in successful planning which leads to help in completion of project on time within a set budget. With help of AI the planning factor enhance as a result it leads to furnish competitive advantage as well correspondingly companies able to grab more client and enhance its productivity and profitability. In contrast, from the collected data it is also identified that some interviewees stated that better comparison can be made with other competitors while complying with the architectural innovation which is essential for gain competitive advantage within the industry. According to the views of respondent 1, it was seen that when the compliance with effective architectural innovation is there then overall planning is improved and as a result of this effective planning is improved. Moreover, in support of this respondent 3, 6, 7 are the one which states that further planning is improved when the effective compliance is made with the architectural innovation.
Theme 4: Compliance with the architectural innovation helps in timely completion of the project
The evaluation of the collected data via interview, it is analyzed that major respondent agrees that artificial innovation aids in complete the project on time. The uses of the technologies within the construction project aids in make the effective planning regarding the human and financial resource which is beneficial to complete the project on time. With the help of architectural innovation companies make use of digital tools such as computer-aided design software, Building information modeling, leads to streamlined the design process, enhance precision, efficiency as well as collaboration as a result aids in complete the project on time. In addition, when the companies planned clearly, utilize resources effectively as well as automate decisions than it will aids in complete the project on time. Thus Langston, (2023) explicated that proper adherence with the architectural innovation leads to aids in complete the project on time which is great for the success of the project and remain competitive within the industry. Inversely, certain percentage of respondent not agrees that architectural innovation helps in timely completion of project. In against of this, respondents numbered 3, 4 and 6 are the one who disagrees to the fact that architectural innovation does not provide the timely completion of the project. It is due to the reason that when the effective type of the innovation need to be planned then it will be resulting in taking a lot of time and as a result of this the overall efficiency is impacted.
Theme 5: Adherence of the workforce and resource management software is the strategy that aids in the completion of the construction project well.
With the help of the collected data via interview it is evaluated that viewpoint of the several respondent is that construction project complete in the well manner when follows the strategy of workforce and resource management software. Kermanshachi, Nipa, and Dao, (2023) states that architectural innovation consist all innovation that takes place within the external environment. The respondent agrees that when the companies use workforce and resource management software it helps them in forecast the correct requirement of human resource on a particular project as well make effective planning of the resources such as financial, equipment’s and manpower. When the essential resources are planned in the best way, it leads to complete the construction project in well manner. Thus, the workforce and resource management software strategy of architectural innovation assist in complete construction project in well manner. On the other hand, via the help of collected data through interview it is evaluated that some of respondent opinion is that utilization of virtual reality and artificial intelligence is beneficial in managing the work better and effectively. As the artificial intelligence aid the business to make effective planning of the resources, efficient inventory management, forecasting manpower. When the important elements of the project planned in the effective manner it aids the business in complete the project on time and well manner. In the views of majority of the respondents agreed that making the use of workforce and resource management is assistive in effectively implementing the architectural innovation. It is due to the reason that with help of innovation effective resource utilization is required. In case it will be implemented well then automatically the overall innovation will be implemented and all the latest methods of working will be used.
Theme 6: Architectural innovation aids in achieving a competitive advantage.
With the help of the interview it is articulated that wide range of respondent feels that architectural innovation is essential, beneficial and helpful in gaining the competitive advantage. The use of architectural innovation by the company aids in work in efficient manner by using the better technologies which help in manage work, people in the best manner. In the views of Dymitrowski, and Mielcarek, (2021), architecture innovation aids the organization to enhance their ability to generate new and better ideas as well as develop and test those ideas rapidly and efficiently which leads to furnish competitive advantage which is essential in the competitive environment. In addition, when the company`s operation planned in effective manner it leads to furnish a competitive edge to the companies eventually the overall efficiency of the business will be enhances. As a result company become in a position to manage the work well, complete the project on time as well as decline the cost of operation. Thus, compliance of the architectural innovation by the construction companies of England able to improve the working capability in greater scope. Correspondingly, construction companies get competitive advantage and able to attain the goals and objectives of the project. Within the construction industry, architectural innovation is an important key to grow and develop business as well as increase its competitiveness. It leads to assist the business to enhance productivity and decline the cost. Further, in against this, respondent number 3, 6 and 9 stated that competitive advantage is not gained well. This is because of the reason that the architectural innovation takes a lot of time and efforts of the company and it might not be necessary that the innovation is correct or not. It might be possible that the company or the project manager is not able to manage the work as it takes a lot of time and ultimately the overall working is affected to a great extent.
Theme 7: Enhancing the functionality of the construction project is the major advantage of using architectural innovation
From the data collected via interview it is depicted that majority of the respondent feels that architecture innovation is advantageous for improving the functionality of the construction project. It is evaluated that architectural innovation aids in planned the project efficient manner, forecast correct manpower, make more efficient processes, decline cost as a result the functionality of project improved leads to complete the project on time and enable company to attain its objectives. Baduge et al, (2022) asserted that integration of smart technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation enhances the functionality which is beneficial for improving the efficiency. Inversely, some of respondent feels that completion of project on-time is the advantage of architectural innovation. When the company use software related to workforce and resource planning as well as other smart technologies then it aids in planned the project in effective manner as well as delegate the work in the appropriate manner, eventually the work complete on-time. Therefore, it is essential for the construction companies to compliance with the concept of architecture innovation for the purpose of clarity, streamline process and improve functionality so that organization goals attained effectively. Along with this, respondent 5 stated that on time completion of the project is the benefit of complying with the architectural innovation. On the other side, respondent 4 outlined that having effective management of the project without any of the conflict is the benefit of using the working well. These are also the views of the people which did not counted in the majority.
Theme 8: Shortage of funds for the small-scale project is the major problem of complying the architectural innovation in construction project.
By evaluating the responses of interviewee`s, it is concluded that there are some of lacks which companies face while using the concept of AI. It is agreed by the mass respondents that shortage of fund within the small scale project is a big issue. The reason behind the statement includes, use of architectural innovation increase the cost of working as use and maintenance of technologies is expensive. Small scale project already operates at a low cost as a result use of architectural innovation is difficult. Therefore, it is important for the company to increase the budget so that able to enhance the use of architectural innovation in the business to increase the efficiency. In addition, the overall efficiency of the business impacts due to lack of finance within the small scale projects. On the contrary to this some of interviews stated that other issue of adhering architectural innovation is increasing cost of project. As the use of innovation is expensive as it require more funds which leads to increase the cost of working for the company. Moreover, few respondents agree that lack of market research tool is also a key issue in using architectural innovation in the small projects. Moreover, respondent number 5 stated that there are less of the market research tools and as a result of this the overall working is impacted. On the other hand, some of the respondent also stated that there is shortage of financial resources and as a result of this the overall efficiency is impacted and the architectural innovation is not implemented well.
Theme 9: Better and effective working on research and development is the suggested strategy that will help in enhancing the construction project.
After evaluating the responses of interviewees, it is articulated that most of respondents suggested that companies can enhance its architecture innovation by focusing on effective research and development. The suggestion is effective as when the appropriate research will be done, it leads to outline various ways of working which is beneficial for enhancing the construction project. With the help of effective research, company able to generate better ideas which is crucial for declining cost as well as implementing architectural innovation correspondingly working of the construction project enhance. According to the Wafai and Aouad, (2023), research and development facilitates innovation as it leads to furnish essential and necessary data and insight regarding to enhance the process and project of the construction. On the other hand, it was evaluated that few respondent recommended that doing competitor analysis is also another way of enhancing compliance with the architectural innovation. The reason behind this as when the company with the help of the competitor analysis evaluates the innovation of other competitors than company able to work on this as well as implement the innovation in own business correspondingly aids in enhance AI in the business. Further, some of respondent also suggested that adoption of the latest trending changes will aids the company to enhance architectural innovation within the business. Consequently, when the construction companies adhere the above suggestions this will aids in enhance the overall working as a result enable the company to remain in a position to utilize appropriate innovation within the business. Other than R&D, some respondent that is number 7 outlined that maintaining a contingency fund is also a strategy which will help in maintaining good architectural innovation. It is due to the reason that when the contingency fund will be present then it will be assistive in using in case of emergency and as a result of this the overall innovation can be implemented well.
Chapter Five: Discussion
With the above findings, it is clear that the use of architectural innovation is very necessary for the success of the construction project. Architectural innovation is stated as a concept which emphasises developing a new product or service by using existing technology so that a new market can be made. Within the construction industry, there are many different types of issues faced and when effective architectural innovation does not comply then these issues cannot be resolved. Thus, it is mandatory for the construction industry they effectively follow architectural innovation so that the work can be managed properly and accurately. For the successful completion of the project, the appropriate innovation must be used so that the work can be improved.
In support of this Shirowzhan et al, (2020) stated that when architectural innovation is followed by the company then it provides a better base for planning. It is due to the reason that when accurate planning is done then it will provide success to the company. It is due to the reason that when the proper innovation is implemented then it will result in better improvement in the working of the company. Thus, construction companies particularly in the smaller cities of England need to comply with AI so that overall work can be improved. In case the overall innovation relating to architecture will be followed then it will be improving the overall efficiency of the business and the objectives will be attained well. Thus, it is mandatory for the companies they comply with the effective type of innovation so that success can be gained and the project can be accomplished well.
The finding also highlighted that there are many different types of factors which are necessary for successfully complying with architectural innovation. It is necessary because of the reason that when the appropriate AI is used then it will be assistive to the companies in doing effective planning. It is generally due to the reason that when the appropriate innovation is followed then it requires effective planning. Hence, with the help of effective planning the innovation can be followed appropriately and ultimately the overall efficiency is increased to a great extent. Supporting this Wuni and Shen, (2020) stated that when the planning is done well then automatically it will increase the working efficiency. It is due to the reason that planning is the foundation of the whole project and when it is used effectively then it will foster the working capability of the company to a great extent.
Along with this, the findings also stated that the successful working of the company depends on the architectural innovation to which they are complying. When the companies have having good type of innovation focus then automatically it will enhance the working efficiency to a great extent. It is due to the reason that when the proper compliance is made with the AI then it results in timely completion of the project. It is necessary for the reason that when effective compliance with the project innovation is made then automatically it will increase the working capability of the company to a great extent. Thus, effective planning ensures that the project is accomplished on time so that the objectives are attained well. Majorly when the appropriate innovation is compiled then it is helpful for the company to understand the project requirement well. Thus, it is mandatory for the company they effectively try to manage and maintain the work and ensure that the project is accomplished well.
To support this, Mellado and Lou, (2020) stated that when proper compliance with the architectural innovation is managed well then the objectives are also attained well. It is due to the reason that when effective innovation is focused then it motivates the company and the employees to work well and attain the objectives. Thus, it is mandatory for the company they appropriately follow the innovation such that the operational efficiency of the project is increased well. When the project is increased well then it is helpful for the company in managing the work and attaining the objectives well. By the findings, it was also analysed that appropriate innovation helps the business in understanding and meeting the needs of the consumers. The reason underlying the fact is that with the help of architectural innovation, the company understand the market need and accordingly the work is improved and the needs are catered. This helps the business in managing the work well and focus on attaining the objectives very effectively.
The further finding outlined that there are different architectural innovations which are effectively followed into the working. It is due to the reason that when the overall working will be planned appropriately then it will be motivating the companies to work effectively and to use all the latest methods so that the working can be improved well. The most common strategies include using the resource and workforce management software, use of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, sensor data and many other different strategies. All these are the latest methods and strategies which need to be implemented into the business such that the working can be improved well. In case these strategies are not followed then it will impact the overall working capability to a great extent. Thus, the use of resource and workforce management is very assistive to the company in making the architectural innovation successful and ultimately attaining the objectives of the business.
Noghabaei et al, (2020) explained that when the construction companies are following the different types of architectural innovation then it is assistive to the company in managing the work. Thus, it is mandatory for the companies they comply with the guidance relating to innovation to be implemented. In case the overall working will not be effectively managed then it may be affecting the working capability to a great extent. Thus, for the successful completion of the projects in the smaller cities, it is evident that the proper and effective use of architectural innovation strategies is made. When the company will be focusing on artificial intelligence, the use of different software for managing resources and workforce, VR and other technology then it will be more beneficial to the company in managing the work well. All these uses of the latest technology will assist the business in improving the overall efficiency of the company to a great extent and the objectives will be attained successfully.
Moreover, the finding also analysed that when effective architectural innovation is followed then it usually leads to the project being successful. It is very necessary for the reason that when the appropriate work is made then there is clarity to work. Thus, when the work is done with appropriate clarity then it will foster the successful completion of the project. Moreover, when the project is done in the planned manner then there are high chances of accomplishing the objectives of the business. Furthermore, when the working will be done in the planned manner then it will foster the working of the company and a better competitive advantage will be gained. It is due to the reason that when planning is effective then the execution will also take place well and accordingly the objectives will be fulfilled.
Also, the finding stated that when the proper architectural innovation is followed then there are many benefits of using it. The most common benefit is enhancing the functionality of the project. Moreover, many of the people also stated that on-time delivery of the project is another benefit of using architectural innovation. Further, the different limitations were also highlighted within the interview. These limitations included many and the most common is the lack of funds and the increase in cost. It is due to the reason that in small cities, the resources are not available on time and as a result, the companies have to do a lot of hard work. Thus to be successful, it is necessary for the companies they effectively try to manage and maintain better work and the appropriate innovation is put into practice.
In support of this, Muñoz-La Rivera et al, (2021) stated that when the company has more benefits then this will improve the working efficiency of the company. The reason underlying the fact is that when appropriate and effective planning is made then it will be helpful to the company in managing the work. Also, Manzoor et al, (2021) stated that as the construction companies in the cities have less funds then it will impact the working of the project. Already the company has less of the fund and as a result, they are not capable of working it properly and effectively. Thus many times it is necessary for the company they effectively try to manage the work so that effective architectural innovation can be followed and ultimately the overall project is accomplished well. At last, it can be stated that when effective architectural innovation is followed by the business then it will be promoting the business to attain its aim and objectives well and to earn a good amount of profitability.
Chapter Six: Conclusion And Recommendations
6.1 Conclusion
With the above findings, it is clear that architectural innovation is defined as the concept which includes using the existing technology to build a new product or service. It is due to the reason that when the working needs to be improved then it is the responsibility of the companies that they must effectively try to use the innovation so that the work can be done appropriately. In case the work will not be managed well then it will be fostering the working well. Thus, effective compliance with architectural innovation will help the construction companies manage the work well. The above study highlighted that the setting up of aims and objectives within the study is the basic step for making the whole research successful. It is due to the reason that when the objectives are framed then it will help the company in accomplishing the project and attaining the objectives. In the current case, the objectives were listed and as a result, there was proper guidance to the researcher on how they have to conduct the study well.
With the further analysis of the study, it was evident that the use of architectural innovation is very important for the successful working of the company. The literature review section highlighted that complying with architectural innovation is very important for making the construction project successful. It is due to the reason that when the architectural innovation is followed then automatically the working efficiency will be improved and the project will be attained well. Moreover, the LR section also highlighted that there are different types of strategies which are useful for the successful working of the project. It is due to the reason that when architectural innovation is used then it will guide the people in managing the construction projects well and try to improve the working.
The research methodology section highlighted that the use of qualitative study was assistive in managing the thesis well. It was due to the reason that when the qualitative study is focused then the in-depth analysis of the research topic can be done. Thus, compliance with the combination of the primary and secondary data helped collect effective data. Further, the data was collected with the help of interviews for the primary data and the different books, journals, articles and other related sources were used for the effective collection of the secondary data. Moreover, the use of thematic analysis was also assistive to the scholar in managing the work well. Also, the thematic analysis was assistive as here the researcher created the different themes according to the interview questions and then accordingly the collected data was analysed and supported by the secondary sources.
Further, the data analysis section highlighted that with the interview it was analysed the majority of the people had effective awareness relating to architectural innovation. This is particularly because of the reason that when effective innovation is focused then automatically the project will be accomplished on time. Thus for effective working, it is very essential for construction companies they focus on architectural innovation. Also, with the findings it was examined that compliance with the architectural innovation results in the timely completion of the project. In case the architectural innovation will not be focused effectively then it will be affecting the on-time completion of the project. Also for small projects, it is necessary to use architectural innovation as it provides a base for the effective planning of the whole project. It is the reason that when effective planning is done then automatically the overall working will be improved. Thus, as a result of this, the analysis of the working of the construction company will improve and ultimately the objectives of the business will be attained. Moreover, compliance with architectural innovation guides the project manager to effectively accomplish the objectives of the project.
Further, it was also analysed that compliance with architectural innovation includes many different types of strategies. These strategies include compliance with the resource and workforce management software, implementation of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, sensor data and many other different types of the latest trends and technology. When construction companies, undertake the use of architectural innovation well then it will foster the working and as a result of this the overall development of the company takes place and project objectives are attained well. It is due to the reason that when all these methods are used by the companies then it will be improving the overall efficiency to a great extent. It is due to the reason that when proper compliance with the architectural innovation is implemented then it will foster the working capability to a great extent and resultantly the overall efficiency is improved.
6.2 Recommendations
With the above analysis, it is clear that effective compliance with architectural innovation is very necessary. In case the construction companies will be following the architectural innovation effectively then it will be fostering the working capability of the companies to a great extent and the overall objectives will be attained well. Thus, some of the recommendations for the effective implementation of the architectural innovation into the construction projects and its timely completion are as follows-
- Firstly, it is suggested to all the construction companies to effectively try to do intense research and development. It is the reason that there are many different types of changes which take place in the external environment and for this it is necessary that the companies are readily available to adapt to all the changes. Thus, the sound and effective research and development department will assist the company in managing the work well and ultimately the overall work will be improved.
- Moreover, it is recommended to the companies that they must effectively conduct the risk analysis as well. It is due to the reason that when effective and efficient innovation needs to be implemented then it will improve the chances of attaining the business successful.
- In addition to this, it is also recommended to the company that they must effectively conduct the risk analysis. This is particularly necessary because when the effective risk is evaluated then the innovation will be implemented effectively. The reason behind this fact is that when the appropriate risk is evaluated then it will be assistive to the construction companies in analysing the potential risk with the different innovations can have. While implementing the innovation there are many different kinds of risk that the construction companies can face. Thus, the effective evaluation of the impact and likelihood of the risk helps manage the innovation well and effectively.
- Along with this, it is also recommended to the construction companies that for effective implementation of the architectural innovation they must have a sound and effective communication plan. In case communication is not clear then it will be affecting the overall efficiency of the innovation. Hence, companies must have a clear and concise communication plan so that the innovation can be communicated effectively and can also be implemented appropriately. When the communication between the employees will be good and appropriate then it will foster the working capability and ultimately innovation will be implemented well.
- Furthermore, it is also recommended to the construction companies that they must effectively set the targets and the KPI. In case the monitoring and evaluation will be effective then the implementation of the innovation will be good. It is for this reason that the KPI and other monitoring techniques will help the project manager to evaluate whether the project has been attained well or not. In case the objectives will not be attained well then automatically the corrective actions will be taken. Hence, it is very necessary for the researcher they appropriately set the KPI and other Benchmarks so that the overall performance can be evaluated and the implementation of the innovation can be undertaken very easily and effectively.
Chapter Seven: Review Of Personal Learning
The whole study is based on the evaluation of the impact of architectural innovations on the successful and timely completion of project management is very necessary. With the help of the study, I evaluated that architectural innovation is very important to be implemented in any of the field. Particularly within construction companies and project management, architectural innovation must be implemented. The reason behind the fact is that there are many different kinds of changes taking place effectively and efficiently within the external environment and it is mandatory for the companies to effectively adapt to those changes (Leach and COETZEE, 2020). Thus, adapting to those changes includes complying with the innovation which is very necessary for the successful working of the company and the project. With the study, I evaluated that complying with the innovation continuously is very necessary as it provides direction to the project manager to effectively implement all the recent changes into the working. When the latest changes are included in the work then it provides a competitive advantage to the companies. It is due to the reason that when the company appropriately complies with implementing the latest changes then it provides for a better working environment and ultimately it increases and enhances the overall capability to a great extent.
Before the dissertation I was not having much knowledge relating to the concept of architectural innovation. But after the study, the knowledge relating to the architectural innovation has increased. With the study I analysed that architectural innovation is defined as an innovation which is brought within the working by using the existing technology to develop something new. It is particularly very necessary to implement architectural innovation because there are many different kinds of the changes taking place and it is mandatory for the company to use these changes and implement them into practice. When the innovation will be good and effective than it will be attracting more of the people and as a result of this operational efficiency will be improved. This whole study was a good learning experience and with the help of this I evaluated that within the construction companies it is necessary that the effective innovation is implemented (Thornhill-Miller et al, 2023). When the innovation will not be implemented appropriately then the resulting outcome will not be effective. Thus, a result of this it is very necessary for the construction companies that they appropriately comply with the latest innovations.
With regards to the above study, I evaluated that the most common innovations prevailing into the market includes the use of resource and workforce management software compliance with the artificial intelligence virtual reality and many other different kinds of latest methods of working (Tang, Vezzani and Eriksson, 2020). Currently technology is advanced greatly and it is very necessary for the construction companies as well that they appropriately use techniques so that the overall working can be improve to well. With the study I also analysed that when the companies will be using this latest method it will be attracting more of the customers and as a result of this the overall working of the construction companies will improve.
Thereafter, with the study I also analysed that there are many different kind of skills and knowledge which the person has to keep while working effectively. With the evaluation of the current study, I analysed that having the researching skill is the most important aspect. The reason behind the fact is that when the research skill will be good and effective than the person will be in a position to appropriately research into the market. In case the researching skills will not be good and effective of the person then they will not be in a position to research for the latest innovations. Hence, it is mandatory for the person to possess good researching skills so that they can appropriately conduct the study. At the start of the study, I also had fewer researching skills. But till the completion of the study my researching skills enhanced and it will further help me in improving the further studies. In case I will perform different studies and future then the enhanced researching skill will help me in attaining the objectives of those studies as well.
With the further study, I also analyse that having the effective time management still is very necessary. It is particularly due to the reason that when the work will be accomplished on time then it will be fostering the completion of the dissertation. It is generally due to the reason that when all the activities will be accomplished on time then only the overall objectives will be attained well. Hence, for the successful completion of the study it is very necessary that the researcher possess good time management skill. With the help of the effective time management skills the person is able to complete the work (Dvorski, Bernik and Radošević, 2020). Particularly with the help of the present study I was in a position to understand the importance of time management. With the help of the current study, I analysed that in case the work is completed before time then there is enough time to recheck the whole working. When the working is rechecked then there are chances to reduce the errors and as a result of this the final thesis will be more effective and attractive. Hence, it is very important for me as a researcher that there are effective time management skills present so that the whole work can be accomplished on time.
Thereafter, with the help of the present study, I also analysed that having the effective coordination skill is also very necessary. It is particularly due to the reason that when the coordination will not be present then the research will not be accomplished well. It is due to the reason that all the activities of the dissertation are interconnected to one another (Soboleva and Karavaev, 2020). In case the aim and objective will be set then only the literature review can be conducted. Moreover, the data analysis cannot be accomplished before the literature review. Thus, it is very necessary for the researcher that the maintain the appropriate coordination between all the chapters. Hence, it is very necessary for a researcher that they have the appropriate coordination skill. In case coordination skill will not be effective then the scholar will not be in a position to effectively manage the working.
For the successful research it is very necessary that the appropriate and effective coordination is present between the working. When the coordinated working is not done then automatically it affect the working capability. Hence, it is mandatory for the researcher to effectively and efficiently work in coordination so that all the chapters are interconnected to one another and provides the similar kind of findings. It is very necessary that all the chapters of the study are providing similar kind of working so that the overall work can be managed and efficiently objectives can be attained. So, it is mandatory for the researcher to possess good and effective coordination skills. During the study I developed my coordination skills and as a result of this it is helpful for me to improve the dissertation output in the future. It is particularly due to the reason that with the present study I analysed the importance of having the effective coordination skill and with help of it the overall work is improve.
By the analysis of the further studies, I also evaluated that this present thesis based on the impact of architectural innovation was helpful in analysing the importance of the communication skills. This is particularly due to the reason that the during the study there is lot of requirements of communicating with other people. Whether be it the respondents from the data is collected or any other person belonging to particular organisation or any other aspect. The communication was the key to conduct the study in very effective and accurate manner (de Prada Creo, Mareque and Portela-Pino, 2021). In case I would not be having good communication skills, study would not have been success. Hence, it is very mandatory for me as a researcher that I possess good and effective communication skills. When the communication was effective than only, I was in a position to understand the requirement of the respondents. With the help of the effective communication skill, I am in a position to effectively understand responses of the research participants and as a result of this I evaluated the reviews provided them effectively (Gajdzik and Wolniak, 2022). With the help of the effective analysis of the data gathered from them I was in a position to attend the objectives well. Thus, with the help of the current thesis I am in a position to appropriately improve my communication skills. With this improved communication skill, I am in a position to do the study better in future. In case I am provided with the future opportunities to conduct the research then it will be very useful because I am good at communicating with others.
Moreover, with the help of the current study, I was in a position to improve my leadership skills as well. It is particularly due to the reason that within the research there are many people involved who conduct different task. Thus, for making the study successful it is my responsibility being the researcher that I have effective communication and coordination between all the activities. It is due to the reason that when I will not be effectively planning for the work and the leading it appropriately then the research will not become successful. Hence, it is very necessary that I have good and effective leadership skills. In case I am not in a position to lead the study well. Thus, the successful completion of the study it is very necessary that I lead the whole research appropriately. In case I am in a position to effectively plan for the meeting with the respondents and the gathering the data appropriately then the data collection will be sound and effective. Similarly in case the analysis of the data will be undertaken appropriately then automatically the whole dissertation will become successful. Thus, for making the study successful it is very necessary for me to effectively the whole study. In case I will not be in a position to lead the study then automatically the output will not be attained. Hence, for the successful accomplishment of the objectives of the study it is very necessary that the appropriate leadership is implemented so that the overall working can be improved.
In addition to this the current study also helped me in enhancing my creativity and innovation skill. It is particularly because of the reason that there are many different ways of doing a particular task. Hence, with the help of the current study analyse that using the most creative and innovative way to work is very helpful for improving the overall efficiency. The with the help of the current study I analysed that implementing the appropriate and creative solution is very necessary for the successful working of the whole study. In case the appropriate working will not be implemented then the objectives will not be attained effectively. Hence it is very necessary for the researcher to effectively used the creative and innovative solutions to accomplish the work (Podgórska, 2022). Thus, with the help of the current research study I was in a position to understand the importance of using the creative and innovative ways of doing the work. Moreover, the research topic was also related to the impact of architectural innovation on the completion of the construction project. The innovation with regards to the working as well as for the completion of the study. With the help of the current study I also evaluated that having Innovation and creativity is both necessary for the completion of the study and as well as for good learning.
Thus, in the end it can be stated that the whole study was a very good learning experience. It is due to the reason that it included the current research topic and accordingly enhanced my present knowledge and skill. Thus, with the help of the appropriate and good communication and creativity skill I was in the position to appropriately select the most suitable options for the completion of the study. Along with this I also analysed that having the effective teamworking skill and the proper communication skills is also very necessary for the conclusion of the study. In case the appropriate communication and creativity thinking is not present tense completion of the study cannot be successful. The current study based on the impact of architectural innovation on the successful and time the completion of the project management was very assistive in having the personal and professional development effectively.
