What

With the help of the previous task, I learnt that continuous improvement is very necessary for companies to be successful. It is due to the reason that there are many different changes taking place and in case it will not be adapted then it will be fostering the improvement of the company greatly. The study was based on Lumo which is a UK-based train operating company. With the help of this project and the module, I learnt that high-performing companies must have a continuous improvement environment (König, 2020). However, when there are various amendments occurring and all these need to be implemented for proper working. It emphasized the Focus Trains initiative which Lumo has included for yielding positive results.

After the implementation of the Focus Trains Initiatives, the company was able to enhance its overall performance and ultimately the profits of the company increased and consumer satisfaction as well. With this, I learnt that the punctuality of the train has improved after the implementation of the Focus Train Initiative which is good. Also, with this project, I learnt that the use of teamwork is very necessary along with having effective training and development. It is due to the reason that there are variety of changes happening in the external environment and all important changes need to be implemented. So it is mandatory to have the effective type of the training methods so that new changes can be implemented well.

So what

So the implementation of this initiative, was very assistive as it provided proper guidance to the company that how they can improve the working well. However, it is due to the reason that when the appropriate plan is implemented then it emphasises the providing of effective direction to the subordinates (Dedík, Čechovič and Gašparík, 2020). This is because of the reason that when the system is implemented then it guides the company and the employees to work well and ultimately the overall efficiency of the business is attained well. With this, I also analysed that with this initiative it was also necessary for the company to effectively focus on the proper stakeholders. It is due to the reason that the primary stakeholder for the company is the consumers and in case they are not satisfied resultantly the overall working will be impacted.

So for the successful working of the companies for continuous improvement, proper communication must be present. Effective communication is very necessary for the success of the company. In case the communication is not good and appropriate then it will improve the overall working in a better manner (Khabarov and Volegzhanina, 2020). For the effective working of the company, proper communication must be there. When clear communication is not present then it will impact the overall working of the company to a great extent. Also, with the help of the project, I learned that having effective teamwork is necessary for making the whole project successful. When all the employees in the company are not working in synchronisation then it will be resulting in negative impact on the working of the business and employee as well. Also, with the current project I learnt that having effective research is also necessary. It is due to the reason that when the research into the market will not be done then the reactions and requirements of the consumers cannot be analysed well. So the company must have a sound research department so that the work can be analysed well and accordingly the working can be improved.

Now what

Now after this, the current learning and development will assist me in better future development. This is because of the reason that this whole study was a good learning experience and as a result of this the overall work improved. In future, I will be in a position to work in a team in a better manner. It is for this reason that with this project I emphasised and learnt that teamwork is very important. It is due to the reason that in any workplace, people are present and there is a need for effective coordination skills (Corriveau, 2020). When more people work on the team and there is a lack of coordination then they will not be in a position to develop effective working and objectives will not be attained. Further, in future, I need to develop time management skills as well. It is due to this reason that with the help of effective time management, I will be in a position to attain the objectives on time and this will improve my working capability. So it is necessary for me to effectively work on my time management skills so that I can accomplish the task before the deadline. Also, this capability will help me to get a competitive advantage over the other employees as when I will be working efficiently with others then it will improve my working capability.

Conclusion

This whole project was a very good learning experience and ultimately it enhanced my working efficiency. With the help of the current project, I learnt that the implementation of the initiative is helpful to work with more efficiency. The different skills learnt during the study included effective communication skills, teamwork, coordination skills and many other different types of skills. Further, it was also analysed that there is requirement of working on the time management skills as well for better future working.
