This report is going to focus on Stephen Lawrence Foundation (SLRC) to promote a awareness among people regarding this foundation. In this report, I am going to discuss my contribution towards planning and team activity. Further, success and failure of awareness program is going to be discussed in this report.

Contribution towards team activity and planning

Stephen Lawrence Foundation (SLRC) has been developed to reduce racial inequality issues and it maintains diversity and inclusion of young people in every aspect regardless of their culture, background and race (Stephenlawrenceday.org, 2021). This socially responsible company focuses on classroom, education, business and society to continue their work and activity. Based on work activity of SLRC, here I am going to draw a plan regarding awareness of SLRC. In order to promote awareness among people regarding SLRC, I have been following some crucial stages, which are discussed as follows.

Developing goals

This is the first step where I have communicated with my team members and we developed a clear goal and objectives behind the awareness programme. Nowadays sustainability is one of crucial aspects, which allow a business to export its business globally (Breuer et al. 2018). In this aspect, activity of SLRC towards business is essential. Based on this information, I have been developed a goal of the awareness program

Goal of the program is to promote awareness among people regarding SLRC based on its contribution towards education, business, career and society.

Purpose of awareness

Sustainability and focusing on social aspects is essential for an organization to meet customer demand and fulfil corporate objectives. In addition, Bonsu, (2020) reported that a lack of sustainability in business may affect its growth and improvement. Further, Ashrafiet al. (2019) stated an organization fails to fulfil customer demand without implementing sustainability and positive social aspects in business activity. In this aspect, I have decided the importance of promoting sustainability through SLRC among business owners. In addition, the SLRC focuses on career opportunities for students. This is another common reason behind developing the awareness program.

Identify audiences

Business owners, organization managers, and students are key audiences for this campaign, who will get positive information and inspiration regarding their business operation.

Execute awareness campaign

In order to secure awareness, we have decided to implement a campaigning program among business owners and students to promote the importance of SLRC in everyday life. Our key campaign message was “To achieve great life, live together”. By promoting these messages, we want to promote positive awareness among people towards a healthy society and lack of racism in activities.

Possible outcomes

It was expected that this campaign would promote positive messages among business owners and students regarding the importance of being socially responsible. In addition, it helps to build a healthy environment. Besides sustainability, equality and diversity are crucial aspects that have been covered in this campaigning program.

In this section, I am going to discuss the success and failure of multiple activities and plan to promote awareness among people regarding the importance of SLRC.

At the initiation of the awareness program, I have communicated with my team members regarding the awareness programme. LOVIN and C?P??ÎN?, (2020) stated that communication is one of crucial aspects during the team activity, which helps to the success of planning.

Insufficient knowledge and information regarding activity of SLRC created significant challenges for the teamwork activity and planning. At the initiation of the project, I have faced the issue of lack of proper knowledge regarding the activity of SLRC. This insufficient knowledge affects myteamwork, activity and entire planning programme.

This awareness program is based on the sustainability and diversity aspect in business to improve business activity and reduce the issue of racism in every aspect. Mousaet al. (2020) stated that diversity in the business environment allows an organization to meet customer demand and its corporate social responsibility. Therefore, it can be stated that this approach allows businesses to achieve success and profit. Here, it can be stated that sustainability and diversity acts are common success factors in this campaigning program.

Identification for audiences and defining themes the purpose of the campaigning has been one of crucial challenges. It has been identified that challenges in identified audiences are one of common factors that affect the execution of the awareness planning.

This campaigning programme has been focused on social aspects and career opportunities from SLRC among students, which has been acting as one of the common success factors for this campaigning programme.

This campaigning programme has been focused on students as key audiences by promoting career opportunities for them. However, during execution of the campaign, a lack of information regarding career development in SLRC was identified, which affected its success. Here, it can be stated that lack of proper knowledge affects the success of the planning.

At the initiation of the planning, I have been focused on ensuring resource planning, which helps us to maintain a budget in every aspect of the campaign. Proper resource planning is one of the common aspects that allow teamwork to meet its aim and objectives without increasing the true overall plan budget (ALOMARIet al. 2021). Therefore, resource planning is one of crucial concepts that ensure success of the campaigning program.

Lack of collaboration has been identified in team activity during the awareness programme implementation. It has been identified that lack of collaboration among team members affects success of the team activity (Driskellet al. 2018). Here, it can be stated that lack of collaboration affects the success of the awareness planning.

Success and failure of planning and activity

Group cohesion

Group cohesion acts as a control measure, which helps to attract team members towards the group and ensure their contribution towards the group (UzBilgin and Gul, 2020). This literature stated that group cohesion is one of the common roles of team leaders, which ensures the success of the group and influences the attitude of team members. In thisaspect, I have been implementing the leadership strategy and skills while communicating with teammates and executing the awareness programme. According to Wen et al. (2019), leadership style allows a team to influence motivation of team members and it allows a team leader to meet common goals and objectives. Besides leadership skills, I have allowed members to participate in the decision making process. In this aspect, I have followed the democratic leadership style. Democratic leadership style allows team members to participate in the decision making process and share their feeling and opinion, which motivates members towards a common goal and objectives (Morden, 2020). It has to be mentioned here that effective group cohesion allows an organization to improve the attitude, participation and performances of team members.

Learning from activity and future impact

In this section, I am going to discuss my learning outcomes from awareness planning and its role in my future career. In this awareness programme,I have been implementing the leadership style and approach while communicating with teammates before developing the goal and objectives of the awareness program. Here, it can be stated that I have gathered in depth and detailed knowledge regarding the importance of leadership style in a team activity. Further, awareness program is based on sustainability and social aspects. Here, it can be stated that I have gathered huge information regarding the sustainability, social aspect in an organization and business activity. Further, this awareness program has been focused on sustainable growth in business and its importance. Therefore, it can be stated that I have gathered enough knowledge about sustainability and social aspects of business activity. During the team activity, I have been implementing effective communication with team members, which allows them to be confident and dedicated towards their job role. Therefore, the above discussion indicates that I have gathered detailed knowledge about the importance of communication during teamwork. Further, I have experienced a lack of collaboration issues among members due to communication gaps. In this aspect, I have implemented the leadership approach and improved both communication and collaboration to foster teamwork and success of the awareness planning. In addition, this awareness program has been focused on equality and diversity. Therefore, it can be stated that I have gathered huge information about diversity and equality.

According to Renzi, (2020), effective communication skill plays a significant role in professional life by influencing participation in a flexible team. In this aspect, it can be stated that effective communication skills will help me in future to explore my knowledge in a professional background. Further. Effective leadership will allow an organization to achieve success in both professional and personal life. Therefore, leadership skills will help me to achieve success in both professional and personal life. Moreover, knowledge about diversity and equality will help an organization to maintain social responsibility and sustainability. In addition, these skills will help me to become an effective team leader while exploring my knowledge in professional life.

Conclusion

This report can be concluded that effective awareness among people regarding SLRC may create significant positive effect on people, society and business. This report can be concluded that leadership skills and communication skills will help me to achieve success in the future with a professional background. This report has been identified that multiple group cohesion activities have been performed to maintain motivation and contribution of team members towards a common goal and objectives.
