I am going to practice mindfulness, as it boosts positive thought in me, and further this enhances my potential in terms of emotional regulation (Yeung et al., 2023). I will complete different EI tests for analysing whether my abilities have been improved or not. Further, I will take feedback from mentors, and based on their guidance, I will focus on taking further actions. Thus, in this manner I would be able to enhance emotional intelligence capabilities.

I will complete courses and read blogs so I can gain in-depth understanding related to communication, and this helps me in presenting thoughts in front of patients and their family members (Horowicz and Williams, 2022). Thus, by developing this skill, I would be able to present my thoughts and opinions in front of patients, family members, and colleagues. Furthermore, I will focus on developing the nurse-patient communication concept, and my core motive will be analysing the needs and requirements of patients, and subsequently, decision-making will be done.

Conclusively, I can say that my strengths, such as empathy, honesty, and leadership skills, will support me in performing the nursing role in an effective manner. I would be able to provide person-centred care to patients by ensuring consistent support to them.
