This module revealed the importance of self-awareness and emotional intelligence as critical areas for personal progress and professional development. Personal self-awareness involves perceiving and comprehending personal emotions and acknowledging the motivating forces influencing personal behavioural choices within interpersonal relationships (Carden, Jones and Passmore, 2022). Emotional intelligence components include self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, which are essential for successful professional communication and collaboration. Self-awareness emerged as the key factor that drives my ability to adapt while improving communication and becoming more efficient in workplace interactions (Klussman et al., 2022). 1. Concrete Experience
I developed my knowledge about interpersonal relationships by leading a diverse group through a research presentation project. Working in a group taught me valuable communication skills, teamwork theory, and conflict resolution abilities that are fundamental to maintaining work relationships (Ahsan, 2023). At the start of the project, our team varied between different personality types, job methods, and target expectations. Our group contained members who spoke up actively with those who maintained quietness, creating difficulties in promoting equal involvement processes. The team experienced a conflict because they differed on how workloads and major decision authority should be divided (Nunkoo and Sungkur, 2021). The project experienced tension because two team members held different directions for its development. During this experience, my understanding of emotional intelligence in relationship management evolved (Boccoli et al., 2024). I used self-regulation methods at difficult times through steady silence and relaxed body language to stop tense disagreements from worsening. By showing empathetic treatment toward my team members' complaints, I cultivated an atmosphere where team members felt comfortable sharing instead of hiding problems. My workplace experience, together with my team, shaped my interpersonal abilities as I learned ways to address professional difficulties. My perspective at first treated conflicts primarily as teamwork obstacles because disagreements created painful feelings. My project demonstration shows how conflicts naturally emerge during teamwork because successful conflict management produces new ideas and enhanced collective decision-making. Active listening skills remain vital to creating productive team interactions because they anchor the foundation of positive group dynamics (Musheke and Phiri, 2021). I observed how specific team members took control of discussions, but others retreated from expressing their ideas during initial project discussions (Keller et al., 2017). Such unbalanced participation created communication problems, creating feelings of isolation that prevented members from achieving group agreement. I thought every team member would communicate verbally during my initial assessment, but I eventually discovered that people worked best with written methods or scheduled dialogues. By understanding team members' preferences, I changed my communication practices by introducing shared documents for journaling ideas and setting formal interaction times for direct dialogue (Tankovic, Kapeš and Benazić, 2022). By adjusting our communication styles, we brought our team members closer to one another and created conditions for effective member participation. Throughout the project, I evaluated how my problem-solving abilities developed. My first reaction to problems involved disregarding the emotional needs of colleagues because I strictly focused on finding pure, logical solutions. I learned that analytical thinking must pair with emotional understanding for successful interpersonal challenge resolution. Integrating practical problem-solving and interpersonal understanding allowed me to address team conflicts more powerfully, thus helping my team discover solutions that merged critical operational needs and human relationship factors (Abed, Abed and Shackelford, 2023). Miscommunications in my Concrete stage of Concrete Experience caused conflicts with fellow team members during my participation of a group. Through Reflective Observation, I became aware of three primary aspects: unequal distribution of group participation alongside adverse emotional reactions to criticism and slow group consensus formation. These triggers and solutions to these problems were conceptualised during the process of abstract conceptualization and applied with communication theories, emotional intelligence and group development models (Awan et al., 2020).
4. Active Experimentation
means I am using the insights I have collected as I move through my studies and work to continue improving these interpersonal capabilities. I take Tuckman's Stages of Group Development to be a framework for how team dynamics work for me. In this model, the team reaches the transitions between the phases, which are characterized as Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing stages (Wiese and Burke, 2019). As an emerging group, we conducted politeness but still established roles and communicated at standard. Our team went through a "Storming" gradient that positioned us to multiple conflicts caused by varied views and different ways of working (Junker et al., 2022). This stage unnerved me when I first started but in retrospect, I came to appreciate the inevitable conflict in team development that occurs during this stage. Our team progressed into the Norming stage thanks to our excellent communication network and problem-solving strategies. My learning has been greatly influenced by Emotional Intelligence (EI). Goleman’s EI framework identifies five key components: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Self-regulation presented an initial challenge when I faced disagreements since my response tended to become defensive (Ertiö et al., 2024). Through self-awareness practices and empathy development, I improved my ability to manage my emotions in dialogue while maintaining constructive communication. Through my learning experience, I developed better social skills, improving our discussions' inclusivity. I shifted my approach to conversations by promoting quieter team members to serve as primary contributors, building our group unity. Professional success in leadership roles and collaborative environments depends heavily on emotional intelligence, which makes these new insights especially useful for working environments (Maldonado and Márquez, 2023). The active listening skills of paraphrasing and asking clarifying questions will help me understand everything my coworkers and supervisors say during my work placement. My goal includes improving my written communication abilities by maintaining professionalism across all email correspondence reporting and presentation delivery. The refined capabilities will enable effective teamwork and professional presentation of ideas to colleagues (Li, 2022). Building better conflict management skills is another essential aspect of my professional development. Previously, I refused to handle conflicts despite fearing they might bring additional tension. The learning process taught me that effective conflict management produces better organizational decisions and ber bonds between team members (Li, 2022). During my work placement, I will use collaborative strategies to solve conflicts by seeking problem-solving solutions instead of trying to skip them. When disagreements emerge between my colleagues or supervisors, I will maintain open dialogue using respectful language to create solutions that benefit everyone while preserving our professional relationships. My acquired knowledge will advise my approaches to cooperation and leadership situations at work. I learned about the distinct ways different working styles and personalities affect group teamwork experiences during my group assignment. Through the fundamental understanding of Tuckman’s Group Development model, I now comprehend that every team experiences four distinct stages: formation, storming, normalization, and ultimate performance. Through my work placement, I will actively support team development by promoting communication and open teamwork and resolving conflicts immediately. I promise to make all team members feel included by creating a supportive leadership atmosphere which helps everyone synergize their capabilities. The ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence stands essential in my work placement activities. Professional relationships need these fundamental emotional intelligence traits: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social abilities (Cavaness, Picchioni and Fleshman, 2020). I will utilize mindfulness practices to handle stress and emotional management during challenging workplace situations. My approach involves being more understanding to colleagues before I express myself by acknowledging their situations first. I aim to construct positive workplace friendships and enhance contributions to respectful, collaborative work environments. Personal and professional growth will be structured through my creation of a SMART development plan (Mrisho and Mseti, 2024). I established concrete objectives for skill improvement that carry measurable characteristics and time limits and relate directly to my work needs. I use regular monitoring to track my success. During my first three months of work placement, I have dedicated myself to participating in two educational sessions about effective leadership and communication methods. I will routinely gain feedback from supervisory colleagues and team members so they can detect better paths for improvement and enhance my approach.

Conclusion
Through this module, I have discovered essential notions of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, communication skills, teamwork capacity, conflict-handling methods, and leadership training. With Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle, I personally experienced from my life, identified points of needed improvement, and put forth ways to enhance them. Through group project collaboration with work interactions, I learned practical relationship management skills, conflict resolution techniques, and the ability to adapt to the situations superficially in which I am communicating. With my SMART Development Plan, I developed and grew these skills and advanced my professional skills while working in an academic environment. When I compared myself with my previous self, it was clear that in an extensive evolution, my interpersonal skills set their best foot forward by refining communication skills, leadership skills and habits in the workplace. My shyness prevented me from joining group talk before the change and travelling with conflict resolution and delegation tasks were troublesome things. I have learned to speak clearly while enhancing my emotional awareness and simultaneously building problem-solving structures.
