Introduction Of Women Pilots Challenges Opportunities Assignment
3. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3. 1 Research type
The research type is referred to as a processed as well as methods used to analyze the data regarding the challenges and opportunities for women as a pilots. There are majorly 2 types of research such as qualitative and quantitative (Mishra and Alok, 2022). The researcher has chosen qualitative research to evaluate participants’ perception, experience as well as behavior. This type has been selected because it helps in addressing the non-numeric research question and allows deep understanding of the context, phenomena as well as experience. This research method emphasizes on describing the individual beliefs as well as experiences.
3.2 Research approach
Research approach is the general plan as well as process which is set of conducting the study. This offers the guidelines as well as framework for the investigator to define research hypotheses, questions as well as objectives. Research approaches can be distinguished into two such as inductive and deductive (Gupta and Gupta, 2022). In the current study, inductive approach has been selected by the scholar which offers highly appropriate results under qualitative investigation. The inductive approach starts with the set of empirical observations, seek patterns as well as theorizing regarding these patterns. The initial step of the inductive research is to make a detailed observation of the studied data which can be done through interview. Thus, new theoretical framework has been developed
3.3 Research philosophy
Research philosophy is linked with the knowledge, assumption as well as nature of the research which is particular way of enhancing knowledge. This is a set of assumptions, beliefs and principles which underline the approach of the study. Research philosophy include the data regarding the phenomenon should be gathered, analyzed as well as used. There are mainly two types of research philosophy like interpretivism and positivism. Interpretive approach depends on observation to discover the deep understanding of the phenomenon being researched (Taherdoost, 2022). As it is a qualitative research, the research has selected interpretivism philosophy to analyze the outcomes of the study. By intereting theoretical aspects related to challenges, barriers and opportunities experienced by women as pilot research question has been addressed.
3.4 Data collection
Data collection methods are the processes and techniques for collecting the data for the research. These methods are integral to data collection, make sure accuracy as well as comprehensive data acquisition (Thunberg and Arnell, 2022). In research, data can be gathered mainly from the two sources such as primary and secondary. In order to evaluate research questions data has been gathered from both the sources. With regards to primary data collection interview will be initiated through the means of checklist. By evaluating the views of women pilot research objectives have been met. Primary data collection facilitate for more reliable as well as accurate outcomes. Further, books, journals and scholarly articles related to challenges and barriers have been evaluated for gathering secondary data.
On the other hand, secondary data is the procedure of gathering the data from other sources like books, publications, database and industry reports.

3.5 Sampling
Sampling is the procedure of studying the population by collecting the information as well as analyzing it. This means selecting the group of participants which has been nominated for the interview to meet the research objectives. Referring purposive sampling method, the researcher has selected 10 women pilot to analyze the challenges as well as opportunities they has encountered as a pilot.
3.6 Data analysis
Data analysis is a procedure of transforming as well as interpreting the information to uncover the patterns as well as trends. This is a practice of transforming the raw data into the actionable insights for the informed decision making. This includes gathering as well as examining the data to validate hypotheses and answer questions. Data analysis techniques are utilized to gain the insights of the data collected which can be used for the further research in future. This process include analyzing, organizing as well as transforming the data recognize trends as well as make informed decisions (Nayak and Singh, 2021). Techniques of data analysis such as thematic as well as SPSS are highly influenced from the type of research initiate. Considering the qualitative research, thematic perception test technique has been followed by the scholar. Accordingly, referring the views of women pilot several themes have been drafted and supported with the findings presented by other scholars. Thematic analysis offers the flexible method of the data analysis as well as facilitate the researcher with the diverse methodological background to participate in this kind of analysis.
3.7 Research limitations
Due to the time and financial constraint quantitative research has not been initiated. However, research topic can be evaluated through qualitative research in a better way. In the near future there is a scope to conduct survey of more women pilot and thereby presents wide view of the topic.
3. 8 Reliability and validity
For ensuring reliability and validity of the outcome latest data sources have been considered by the researcher that published after the period of 2018. Further, authentic websites have been considered to gather data and evaluate research question appropriately. Further, to find relevant data key word search strategy has been used.
3. 9 Ethical considerations
The researcher has emphasized on informed consent, maintain confidentiality and privacy of the participants as well as protected the data with limited access along with encrypt storage.
