The current project relates to organising the music event d Lancs Life at Townley Park for promoting the local band and music. Business case

Project aim: the current project aims to effectively deliver the music festival d Lancs Life within Townley Park

Project objective

The objective of the current project is to promote live music by hosting a music event at Townley Park in Burnley.
Another objective of the current project is to promote local bands in Lancashire to promote the concept of live music.

Project deliverable

The major deliverable of the project is to promote live music among the people so that local music is promoted.
Another deliverable of the current project is that this event is organised as a not-for-profit purpose and all the excess revenue will be donated to charities within Lancashire.

Benefits

Promoting the local music among the people so that the local rituals and working of the community are promoted among youth.

Constraint

The major constraint in the current project is related to the cost that is whether the project will be accomplished at the given cost or not.

Further to make the project successful an effective type of methodology for completing the project must be used. For the organising of the current project of a music event, the methodology of Agile is most suitable. It is a type of methodology which aims at breaking the project into smaller phases so that the project objectives can be attained. The major focus of this methodology is on continuous collaboration and on improving the working of the project (Ulusoy et al, 2021). The rationale for selecting the current methodology is that it makes the work much simpler by breaking the work into smaller stages and helps in the successful completion of the project. For example, Cisco has also shifted to agile to make the billing better. This has benefitted the company well and as a result of this, they can manage the working better and attain more profits. Similarly, complying with Agile will benefit the current event of music by providing better planning and will help in accomplishing the planned objectives.

Thus, with the analysis of the above table, it is clear that the critical path is path 1 as this is the shortest period in which the objectives will be attained (Soleymani et al, 2022). However, the total time duration for the completion of the project is 272 days which is far more than the critical path. Thus, when the company follows the critical path 1 then the objectives of the project will be attained and project will become successful.

Proper arrangement for food and water is also made during the event. Control measure- this is the most critical step in making the project successful. If case-effective controlling is not done well then it will affect the work and might be possible that the project is not accomplished well (Dasović and Klanšek, 2021). To control the current project of a music festival, compliance with benchmarking is made. Under this method, various benchmarks are set and the actual performance is compared against it. The different control measures are as follows-

Ensuring risk management is followed well
Proper regulatory compliance is made and ensured that all health and safety issues are checked
Proper budgets are set so that work is managed well.
Effective KPI and other benchmarks are set so that performance can be analysed
Clear and effective communication is made throughout the organising of the event.

CONCLUSION

Lastly it is concluded that applying the project management knowledge is very crucial for making the project successful. The study highlighted that complying with project management, the business case is developed and also the working is improved. Moreover, the different stakeholder were identified along with the ways of engagement like the direct communication, through mail and other ways.
