AIM/PURPOSE To evaluate the impact of uncertainties on the decision making process within the multinational organization.
ARTICLE TYPE Scholarly research articles- empirical qualitative research
METHOD For identifying the impact of uncertainties, secondary study has been conducted by the researcher. For maintaining accuracy, the researcher has focused over deciding inclusive and exclusive criteria for the secondary data. Sample: Selected 117 articles from 23 different sources The researcher has set out inclusive criteria which indicate that articles must be peer reviewed, published in scientific journals and should ranked 3 or 4 according to journal guide. Research approach: Inductive approach was used to evaluate the secondary data and to make the large number of assumption. For improving the efficiency of the collected data, researcher should select more articles which will help in providing the wider knowledge regarding the research issue. Along with this, most of the articles do not qualify the inclusion criteria but then also researcher has selected such articles that impacted the accuracy of the study. Moreover, the researcher could opted for the primary study that would help in better understanding the manager’s issues while taking decision at the time of uncertainty. This will help in overcoming the risk of inaccurate data and support in better and in-depth evaluation of research issue.
FINDINGS The articles commences with the description regarding the influence of uncertainties in hampering overall decision making process within the multinational corporation. This research includes 13 dimensions of uncertainties that impact the decision making and focuses over eight dimensions through which such uncertainties are managed. Additionally, the research emphasized on five characteristics that individual needs for making the accurate decision. The research indicates that uncertainties are the only issue which impacts the decisions making process of MNC’s. However, Pelissari et al, (2021) stated that organizational culture; social, personal and economical are the major factors which impact the effectiveness of MNC’s decision. Optimal decision making process could be initiated if the five characteristics are possessed by the individual. This includes the tolerance for ambiguity, decision making orientation, Collectivist orientation, decision making orientation and hierarchical position. On the other hand, the ability to define problem, reasoning ability and critical thinking are the three major characteristics that should be presented within individual while taking any decision. Supplemental, Imitation, flexibility, collaboration, avoidance and control are five approaches for tackling the uncertainties. According to miller’s approach to uncertainly network, information gathering and collaboration are measures for handling unpredictable situations.
CONCLUSION Uncertainty is the major issue that impacts the efficiency of decision making within multinational cooperation’s. An uncertainty leads to the fragmented and conflicting finding which creates problem for MNCs. Furthermore, the behavior of individual taking decision during uncertainties changes to influential.
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER ANNOTATED REFERENCES According to Tang et al, (2022) future studies should be conducted on generalization of diverse uncertainly construct that help in better managing overall uncertainties and improving decision making process. This suggestion has been elaborated by Wang and Garg (2021) as it stated that future research should be combined with wider uncertainties spectrum within single study. Wang et al, (2021) determined that uncertainties will arise at each level of decision making, but the flexibility, visibility and decisive nature of manager support in overcoming such situation. Along with this, Xiao, We and Pedrycz (2022) professed that characteristic that influences manager’ perception should also be examined that help in taking proactive actions and avoiding uncertainties.
STRENGTHS The article is effective as it follows a logical sequence and provides insight into all the crucial aspect related to the topic. The researcher has connected the finding with past data and articles that helps in developing the better understanding about the research issue. Further, the qualitative method used by the researcher is effective as it helps in understanding the manager’s perception and issues related to the uncertainties.
WEAKNESSES The articles have effectively supported by past studies but the critical analysis of the finding has not been provided. There is a lack of cross sectional studies which create issues in gaining the wider knowledge regarding the research topic. Further, some old references, related to before seven years, hampers the reliability of the data and overall findings. The data has collected from the less number of articles which do not provide in-depth information related to the research problem.

REFERENCE Ansell, C. and Boin, A., 2019. Taming deep uncertainty: The potential of pragmatist principles for understanding and improving strategic crisis management.Administration & Society,51(7), pp.1079-1112.
AIM/PURPOSE To explore the decision making under the deep uncertainties by identifying the challenges and assess the information which facilitates the defendable decisions.
ARTICLE TYPE This is a conceptual article which allows exploration and modeling of the emerging phenomenon.
METHOD (research papers only) The data is based on the published works and not able to take account into the relationships among the decision making process and documents. The research is mainly based on the qualitative data. By evaluating the past articles research problem has been evaluated.
FINDINGS (research only) The research indicates that pragmatic approach will act as the building block for strategic crisis management. Pragmatic approach does not consider uncertainty as dispel rather treat it as managing aspect of the organisation. There are two component of pragmatic approach that support in effectively managing crisis and help in overcoming uncertainties. The first concept includes processing the knowledge regarding the crisis through pragmatist view that aids in acknowledge the uncertainty. However, avoiding self imposed dichotomies will aid in understanding complexity and resolving issue. Another component of pragmatic approach includes experimentalism that includes treating decision as hypothesis and after the implementation of decision, impact should be evaluated. This will help in clearly understanding influence of decision and support in enhancing skills to face uncertainties in future. However, it has further depicted that clear-state reasoning should be used for strategically managing crisis. Manager should take decision after evaluating available resources and allocates them in a manner through which crisis could be managed efficiently.
CONCLUSION (non research only) Decision making under deep uncertainty (DMDU) method have greater and effective potential than the decision making methods based on the traditional manner. Modern methods provide high level of assistance in decision making under the situation of deep uncertainty. As this is worth pursuing and efforts which have made the Match within the DMDU methods to the major projects to boost their application in the reality. However, the more progress can be needed for the effective methods to leave the academic realm and to be utilized in the reality. The analysis is based on the data from the published works and also not takes the account the relationship among the different decision making processes and documents. This would be argued that the issues were not mentioned in the central focus of the analysis.
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER ANNOTATED REFERENCES Dittrichetal, (2016); Acknowledged that the significance of the DMDU, this emphasize on the needed methods to become widely used in reality and also methods to leave the academic realm. The opinion is shared by the Kwakkeland Haasnoot(2019), methods of DMDU mainly focuses on the traditional decision making methods which provide infrastructural support in the situation of deep uncertainty. Malekpouretal, (2020) also presented that pragmatic approach provides high level of assistance in dealing with uncertain situation and provides with the best outcome.
STRENGTHS The use of the DMDU offers the logical methods of the research. The scale of different simulation involvement reflects the realistic traditional decision making which offers the confidence in the findings. The article is mainly well structured and logical also offer the access to the research which permits the readers to review the effective responses. The references are mainly relevant to the topic and research is mainly connected to the past research. The future research opportunities and limitations are identified.
WEAKNESSES The limited research carried under the DMDU which suggest that the benefits can be repeated the review findings and simulations. The deductive approach mainly identified the data set for majorly consideration which can have the precluded findings within the other areas. The different references are utilized which are greater than the five years old.
