The reason behind that is, that communication is necessarily hard to cross every component of the chain of command. Normally, businesses with tall structures are exceedingly complex. Times when the market goes through changes, these businesses can respond more unhurriedly than normal. That is because the managers have a very small horizon of authority. The meaning of a tall structure in an organisation means the management is divided into many layers, which have decision-makers at the head and staff for groundwork. A tall structure is generally used in massive businesses (Whetsell et al., 2021). Flat Structure or horizontal structure is a minimum tier of management and organisational structure.
