Objective and research question:this research paper aims at examining the establishment of new industrial relations factors in healthcare sector of contemporary China. The primary research question is how to transform constant professional conflict and discontent into an institutional response. In addition to this, the paper also determines the freedom and powers that can be given to medical associations and how they can form new industrial relations.
Method: The research is based on primary research and literature review. For primary data collection, thirty-nine semi-structured interviews were conducted in which government agents, doctors, other medical staff, and people from trade unions were interviewed. Literature review helped in finding the research gap, and primary survey helped in collecting the data to fill that gap. The data collected was analyzed by making use of various data analysis techniques and tools.
