Introduction:Develop effective and informed professional practice in early years
1. Identify all the type of barrier in effective oral and written communication
There are various types of problem, hindrance and breakdown that cause obstacles in effective communications. Various type of communication barrier that impact effective written and oral mechanisms are as follow:
Physical barrier: This includes issue in technology and devices that has been used while talking to other person. Poor connections during communication, ineffective working of the mobile phone while communicating, noise, faulty equipment are the barrier in impact effective communication.
Perceptual barrier: In this type of barrier, obstacles occur due to difference in the mindset, thought and beliefs of both the individual. Communication is also impacted by the personal biasness of listener or speaker that has caused due to prior experiences.
Emotional barrier: These type barriers are caused due to negative perception of individual towards other individual, situation or places (Al Shamsi et al, 2020). This reduces the attention & sincerity listener and speaker towards each other results in causing obstacles in carrying out the effective communication.
Cultural barrier: Communication process can be carrying out effectively if the culture and belief of the group has been determined. These types of barrier occur due to not determining behaviors patter of the group before communicating.
Language barrier: If a person is communicating with other person who do not have knowledge of the language in which other speaks then the effectiveness of communication will be hampered. These barriers occur due to the difference in language and misinterpretation of the related word.
Non-verbal barrier: Body language of individual should be matched with the views and ideas of the speaker. Difference and non-verbal and verbal messages create confusion for listeners and results in creating barrier in effective communication.
2. Provide reflection on your oral and written communication skills and prepare action plan to developed skills that are necessary for effective communication.
Gibbs model of reflection will be used to describe my skills and capabilities in carrying out effective oral and written communication (Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle, 2020). I have identified that my listening skills are effective that assist in listening carefully to other point view before taking any decision. I have indentified that I can share my thought and ideas effectively thorough written communication as I lack confidence during public speaking. I need to develop my skills regarding non verbal communication as listener usually gets confused due to this issue. Following is the action plan used for developing communication skill:

3. Analysis the requirement that are necessary for retaining competent practices through CPD and evaluate the significance of reflective practices while working with children.
There is certain training requirement that should be fulfilled by practitioners before entering in to the field. This training requirement has been formed under section 3 of the EYEs:
- Minimum qualification level should be passed by managers and the staff members.
- Training should be provided regarding the food hygiene according to training session being scheduled by the Local environmental Health departments.
- Pediatrics First Aid certificates should be available by the practitioners which need to be renewing after every 3 years.
- Training should be provided regarding safeguarding children in the guidance of Local safeguarding partners.
- In addition to all the above training, development session should be provided in relation to hearth and safety of children and emergency expulsion.
This training are very crucial for initial practitioner as while working with children I should have detailed knowledge regarding the safety and health measures that I need to undertake. Certificates in particular file helps in understandings practitioner capabilities in carrying out assigned task and aim at enouncing benefit of the children(Saint-Pol et al, 2020). Providing this type of training will help in understanding the requirement that assist in safeguarding form legal issues. In my previous experience where I was not having the First aid knowledge I faced challenges in providing requires treatment to children at the time of injury. So to gain the knowledge regarding first aids skills I have taken part in this training session for better understanding needs of children. Reflective practices are highly significant as through this I would econme able to identify my strengths and weaknesses that assist me in taking corrective measures for improving my practices. This helps in overcoming my weaknesses and assists me in providing better services to children.
4. Explain significance of CPD within an early year setting.
It is very necessary for employer to provide CPD training session to the employees as it will assist in improving the overall performance of practitioner (Importance of CPD and training, 2023). Some of importances of CPD are as follow:
- It helps in enhancing the knowledge of new employees regarding various measures which they need to undertake in particular situation or time.
- Involvement of employment in CPD will assist in improving the skills of the employees and results in maintaining skill according to current requirement (Allen et al, 2020).
- CPD benefits the employer as this helps in improving overall reputation and goodwill of the organization. This has been achieved as company will be able to fulfill requirement of children by making their employees efficient.
- In the early stages, employees should be aware of direction in which they need to work; this has been provided through this training session. Completing this training successfully results in gaining confidence by employees that assists in future development and help in adapting to required changes.
5. Explain significance of understanding limits of individual competence.
Personal competence refers to the skill and the abilities of the individual in carrying out certain task. It is very important to understand the limitation of personal competence in for overall development of the individual. Determination of limitation will assist in identification of skill and capability that one to gain improving its performances’. This evaluation assists in undertaking appropriate developmental activities to gain new skills. Understanding the limitation will help in taking decision according to the individual‘s capabilities that further assists in improving the effectiveness of decision making process.
In the field of childcare, determine the limitation of the employees assist in enhancing safety of patients. Employees will be allotted task according to one capability and skills which will be helpful in effective completion of the work (Bwanga, 2020). CPD training session will be conducted on the basis of the skills which are required by particular individual that helps in scheduling effective training sessions. Identification of limitations of people will results in improving their overall performance and would be beneficial for future growth.

8. Describe sources of information to gain better insight of own practices.
Information regarding effective childcare practices could be provided through various sources. This information could be gain form internal or externals member of the centers. The various sources are as follows:
Information from senior: In the early stage of practice seniors and other skilled employees help in gain more awareness regarding the rules and regulation (Mata et al, 2021). They assist in determine policies and appropriate strategy that should be used in particular situation.
Information from documents: There are various documents that have been provided by authority that helps in enhancing knowledge level of practitioner. It has been identified that for providing effective knowledge regarding safeguarding of children, keeping children safe in Education has been used. This document contains all necessary information that helps in improving performance of early stage practitioners.
Training session: For gaining more awareness regarding childcare practices training and development session has been conducted by childcare centers. This helps in gaining detail information of regulation and laws related to this practice.
9. Analysis the effectiveness of childcare practitioner in your early year of practices.
In my early year practices I have assigned the work to monitor the performance of each children and provide information to their parents regarding their working. While carrying out these practices I have understood that I should be effective communicators, planner and critical thinker that assist in carrying out my duties effectively. I have identified that I was able to maintain management in classroom but face difficulty in managing children during outdoor activities. I was able to effectively communicate with children and understand their needs. I have identified that my evaluation skills are not effective as I was not efficient in gauging on the performance of children.
I face difficulty in decide on the improvement in performance of particular children. It was difficult for me to evaluate children on various bases and decide on overall performance of children. Through this experience I have determine that my knowledge regarding health and safety regulations are effective that helps in taking all suitable measures for protecting children . To develop my evaluation and monitoring skills I will focus on taking various sessions that helps in enhancing my knowledge regarding these practices.
10. Provide various factors are affecting working of your practices.
There are various factors that affect effective childcares practices in the centers. Some of the most common practices issues are as follows:
Balancing need of individual children: The biggest problem in the field of childcares is related to identifying needs of particular child and balancing on completing everyone’ requirement (Suliman, Kruger and Pienaar, 2020). There is difference in the interest, beliefs and personality of every child that creates challenges for practitioner in understanding needs of every child.
Management of work and time: Childcare practitioner needs to fulfill various type of responsibility for effective completion of practices (Rio and Newman, 2022). It creates challenges for practitioner to carry out various activates that involves planning regarding lessons, Administration task and supervisions.
Continuous changes in the industry: There is a continuous change in the industry that includes variations in regulation, laws and operation of the centers. For carrying out effective practices each practitioner should be provided with CPD training on regular time so that employees should be adjusting in the changing environment.
