The main aim of this report is to explain about the own experiences of the university life and learning journey and progress as a student of Arden University. A student improves their life and learn different skills while studying in university. Further, this report will make use of different academic sources to explain about the different factors that encourage the cyberbullying on the social media platforms.

TASK A

Reflective Writing

Self-reflection refers to the capability of the people to witness and measure own behavioural, emotional as well as cognitive process. The process of self-reflection is important for the people as it helps to identify strengths and areas of improvement. Self-reflection also helped me to explain my learning journey in my universitỵ Gibb’s reflective model is utilised to reflect on university experiences and progress as student.

I am student of Arden University and took admission into this university to gain advance knowledge. During my university, I learned participated in many individual as well as groups tasks (Codd, 2023). I honestly said that both group and individual project has helped me to improve my learning process. After taking admission in Arden University, I made career related goals so that I can effectively and successfully complete degree. My goals are involves achieve academic excellence, develop skills and prepare for future career. Throughout my studies, I work hard so that at the end of university I can achieve my goals successfully. My mentors, teachers and my class mates helped me a lot whenever I did individual project or group project.

I identified that in starting of the education in university, I felt little nervous because it was new experience for me. I did not participate in group activities and felt difficulties to interact with the other members. Over time, I become confident and easily participated in each activity. My teacher inform about iLearn which is an online education platform offered by the Arden University (Arden University, 2021). This education platform supports educators and students with easier learning and provides many options for learning. I used iLearn application to learn about the different topic and solve my problems and doubts. I honestly said that this platform helps me to improve my learning experience and assist me throughout my studies. I find out that I have good study skills such as; academic writing skills, reading skills and numeracy ability. I used these skills to learn the concepts.

I identified that I easily engaged with the complex tasks and communicate my thoughts and opinions clearly. By different ilearn lessons and study materials, I have developed self-efficacy that enable me to complete the complex tasks without getting anxious and accomplish my learning goals. Meanwhile, I also enhanced my sense of belonging. Because whenever I need any help to solve the complex tasks, I always took help from my mentor and asked for their guidance and queries regarding tasks. It helped me to increase my sense of belonging (Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin, 2020). Furthermore, iLearn facilitated me to strengthen my growth mind set. By different lessons, I identified my abilities, skills and become able to embrace challenges. When I failed to complete task on time and made some mistakes, I always embraced failure and learned from my mistakes. I found from this module that I need to develop my time management skills to accomplish academic excellence. I usually found myself struggling with the management of time. I want to improve this skill to manage multiple assignments.

This module helped me to improve my skills such as; digital skills and critical thinking ability. Before, I was not familiar with the iLearn platform but my teacher taught me how to use this platform. After knowing about iLearn, I often utilised it to increase my learning. I recognised that iLearn lesson such as; basic computer skills and tools. I learned the basic functions like store and access data. I learned about different MS Office tools such Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I also used the MS PowerPoint to make presentation regarding school project (Trimasse, 2024). Furthermore, iLearn math lesson and math based quizzes facilitated me to boost my critical thinking skills. It allowed me to identify different solutions to the problem and choose best one to solve questions. It also enabled me to dissect information and create ideas efficiently. . I learned both skills are highly important for the students in this modern world where each student use technology to get education. By becoming expert in digital ability, I can leverage technology to improve learning and achieve good grades in exam. Critical thinking is also useful for me to make quick decision and increase success chances in university.

During the module, I also faced challenge such as; lack of time management. I felt difficulties to complete task on time and make balance between different projects. I wanted to learn from both mediums so that I can improve my abilities. Moreover, I always tried to learn about particular topic which was time-consuming and impacted my other work. After that, I asked about assistance from my mentor and peers and their guidance helped me to manage time. I used my growth mind set and saw challenge as opportunity instead of barriers. I utilised online tool such as; Evernote to schedule and prioritise tasks which really helped me to manage time (Wolters and Brady, 2021). Moreover, through utilising strategies which I learned in iLearn like prioritising activities and making achievable objectives, I enhanced this weak area. I believe in continuous learning and I will use different resources like books, articles and online websites to improve my academic skills. Further, I will join the skill development classes to enhance communication, problem-solving, analysing and many more skills. At the end of the University education, I will make valuable skill sets that will help me in future to get job in desired field.

At first step searching for the article includes log in to the iLearn portal of Arden University. In this, I have written down my account and password which provide me access to the search any article and required information.

Relevance Wikipedia provides user generated content which can be edited by any anyone which does not provide reliable information. However, the article is effective for preliminary investigator but lack inefficiency in conducting comprehensive study.
Authority Article provided by Wikipedia does not based on the view point of single author rather depended on the perception of the large number of people which creates issue in gaining exert view point. On the other hand, this provides opportunity to explore wider perspective but lacks creditability of single authority.
Accuracy The article present on website provides adequate citation which helps in ensuring the source of the information. On the other hand, Wikipedia generated articles do not includes any citation for secondary information which creates issue in ensuring the overall accuracy of the information. This also creates doubt in the mindset of the reader that eventually leads to losing trust and confidence of the researcher.
Purpose The studies present on Google scholars have been conducted with some predetermine objectives which help in collecting more accurate information. Whereas articles on Wikipedia are not conducted for any purpose and does not provide any accurate outcome.

After critically evaluating the article through CRAAP framework, it has been identified that the information is not up to data, accurate, significant and authoritative. The article does not provide adequate information which indicates poor quality of study denotes ineffectiveness in using for academic study. This indicate that Wikipedia based article should be not be used by the student which will creates in academic growth and development of the students.

CONCLUSION

The above report has presented the self-reflection on learning journey in the Arden University. Arden University helped me to find out my strengths, skills and knowledge. I have identified that I am highly confident and ilearn helped me a lot to improve my growth mind-set. Arden library facilitated me to improve my critical thinking skills and digital skills. I also identified that time management is my weak skills and I also need to further enhance my communication and problem-solving ability. The report has included the article and discussed it by CRAAP test.
