Project management is defined as the application of the methods and processes which are helpful to the business in managing and attaining the objectives well. It is needed because when the knowledge is used effectively, it will result in better successful attainment of the objectives. The current project is based on expanding the cardiac unit for Bolton General Hospital in Greater Manchester. The current report will outline the detailed project plan, including the stakeholder analysis, risk assessment plan, critical path method and other related decisions. It will also outline the research methodology, assisting to the company in analysing the stakeholder satisfaction for the success of the project.

The current project is based on the extension of the cardiac unit of Bolton General Hospital which is situated in Greater Manchester. The number of patients coming to the hospital is increasing and as a result of this, the number of beds and place has reduced. The current project includes the extension of the space for the cardiac unit within the hospital. In the Bolton General Hospital, the cardiac unit is small and the number of patients coming is increasing. Hence, it is very necessary for the hospital to manage or increase the space so that more patients can be admitted within the hospital. The major project here is to enlarge the capacity relating to the cardiac unit so that majority of the patients can be admitted (Guo and Zhang, 2022). In addition to this, the current project focuses on increasing the facility of the hospital so that majority of the community can take benefit of it. It includes extension of the cardiac units so that more of the people can stay healthy and happy with the services provided by the hospital.

For the success of the project it is very necessary that the resources are managed effectively. In case resources will not be managed efficiently than the project might not get successful. Thus, it is very necessary for the project manager that they make the resources available on time and with easy access. In case the resources will not be easily accessible then it will be affecting the completion of the project.
